I'm a Computer Science graduate from the University of Illinois. As it pertains to CS, I have a soft spot for web development, and also enjoy software design, and product management. Otherwise, I really dig .
I'm currently a Software Designer and Developer for IBM. I was formerly the Lead Developer for Blue Ivory Creative, Software Designer Intern at IBM, Software Engineering Intern at Qualcomm, alongside other web dev adventures: UIUC College of ACES and several freelance gigs.
Spent a summer following my passion for web development and web design by creating Illicit Design. The beginning of my freelance career.
It's always a blast to work with awesome designers.
Itching to practice front end and continue learning from
designers better than myself, I decided to help out Mariam
in hopes of learning some of her tricks of the trade.
We set aside our Team Valor - Team Mystic rivalry for the duration of this project.
Kevin Yang and I met in the intersection of
beer and design appreciation, and went to work from there.
If you like beer or design, I’m sure there’s something for
you to love in this site. Updated regularly!
One of three projects that we were assigned
during my IBM internship. Given a week, we were tasked with
raising awareness about Maelstrom, the young IBM Design
internship. Specifically, we needed to target prospective
interns and faculty that could identify good fits for the
program.
We were split into three teams: video, web, and roadmap.
Video team was tasked with creating footage both capturing
the purpose and personality of the program, web was to
create an online resource for all of this information to
live, and roadmap was responsible for coming up how this
content will live on and transform after we pass it off.
I was assigned to the web team with Noah Lafferty, Lisa
Vuong, and Wen Xiong. The crux of the project was to create
something that reflects the space and experience in a novel
and exciting way; in essence, we needed to make something
novel, informative, and exciting that converts a user into
an applicant.
We leveraged the Foundation platform in this project, as
speed and responsiveness were critical. I was responsible
for contributing to brainstorming novel ideas, as well as
the actual implementation. See the website here and the
repository here!
The online hub of Chicago producer, rapper, and designer Frank Leone.
VandyHacks was the kickoff of Spring Break
2015. We were shooing for the coolest prize with the most
open-ended prompt: capture the "Spirit of Nashvile".
Wanting to optimize our Nashville experience, we figured
it'd be neat to have a web app that allowed you to build an
itinerary in the very culture-rich city.
We used AngularJS for the front end, and NodeJS, MongoDB, and
Flux for the backend. We downloaded attractions from the
Nashville public data site then threw them into Mongo. When
the user searched, we would pull and consolidate data from
Google Maps API and from our database and show a subset,
sorted by proximity.
The project that ignited my passion for web development!
Neutral Design is a Champaign-Urbana startup responsible for
Neutral Cycle bike shop. They needed a web app for reserving
and renting bikes, including all customer and manager side
functionality.
My main responsibility was the management functionality.
Managers should be able to see which rentals are pending,
currently checked out, or pending. They should also be able
to change the status of a reservation and quickly search
through them. Additionally, I worked on the server, payment
logic, building the login page, and troubleshooting the main
page. Built using AngularJS, Node, Firebase, and Stripe.
Still under development!
